A group of school friends in their sixties, smile and look at each other. they all have silver hair and are casually dressed.

You don’t have to join a programme to be part of Ignite.

Ignite is a growing community of women in their sixties and beyond
who want to think differently about this stage of life –
what it can hold,
what matters now,
and how we want to use the years ahead.

You can come and explore.
Read and reflect.
Join a conversation when you feel like it.
Meet other women who are asking some of the same questions.
Or simply stay connected and see what resonates.

There’s no expectation that being part of Ignite
should lead to anything else.

You can remain part of the Ignite community for as long as you wish,
whether or not you ever choose to join one of the paid programmes.

The Reflection Experience

If you’d like to spend a little time thinking about where you are now and what you want from the years ahead, the free Reflection Experience is a lovely place to start.

The Reflection Experience is a free five-day guided experience
designed to help you step away from the noise of everyday life
and spend a little time thinking about where you are now,
what matters to you,
and what you might want from the years ahead.

Each day, you’ll receive a different reflection from me,
with questions and prompts to take you somewhere
you may not normally give yourself the time or space to go.

There’s nothing to get right
and nothing you have to decide by the end of it.

The purpose is simply to create space for thoughts,
ideas and possibilities to emerge –
and perhaps notice things you haven’t noticed before.

Several times a year,
I also run the Reflection Experience Live.
You’ll work through the same reflections alongside other women,
with a private Facebook group during the day
and a Zoom session with me each evening.

It gives you the opportunity to talk about what has come up,
hear what other women are discovering,
ask questions and explore your own reflections more deeply.

Both versions are completely free.

Stay connected through my regular emails

About once a week, I write an email – sharing thoughts, stories, observations and different ways of thinking about ageing and this stage of life.

I always hope these emails give you something to reflect on,
maybe an idea that challenges the way we’ve been taught to think about getting older,
or simply something that makes you see your own life from a slightly different angle.

And I always welcome your thoughts in return.

Women often reply to my emails – sometimes with a few lines,
sometimes telling me much more
about what an idea has brought up for them.

I read every reply, and respond personally, because I really value them.

The emails are also how I let you know what’s happening around Ignite –
upcoming Coffee with Charlotte gatherings,
live Reflection Experiences,
new Design Your Future programmes
and anything else you might like to be part of.

But being on my email list requires nothing of you and of course you can always unsubscribe.
They are simply a way to stay connected to Ignite,
keep thinking about what you want from this stage of your life,
and be part of the wider conversation.

Coffee with Charlotte

Sometimes it’s good simply to talk.

Twice a month, I host a free, informal online gathering
for women around Ignite.

There’s no agenda, nothing to prepare
and nothing you’re expected to contribute.
Bring a coffee or tea, come as you are,
and join the conversation.

We talk about whatever is coming up for us at this stage of life.

Sometimes a question or subject emerges and takes us somewhere unexpected.
Sometimes someone brings something she’s been thinking about.
And sometimes we simply enjoy the company of other women who understand some of the territory we’re navigating.

You’re very welcome to join in as much as you like, or simply listen. It isn’t a workshop or a facilitated programme – it’s a conversation.

Coffee with Charlotte takes place twice a month on Zoom,
usually at 10am, with both Friday and Saturday dates
so that different women have the opportunity to come along.
Register below and see the upcoming dates.

Join us!

Use Ignite however you want to.

You might begin with the Reflection Experience,
read the emails for a while,
drop in to Coffee with Charlotte,
or join us when the next live Reflection Experience begins.

You can dip in and out,
take part in everything,
or simply stay connected.

What matters is that there is a place where women
in their sixties and beyond
can think differently about this stage of life – together.

A place to explore what matters now, to encounter new ideas and possibilities, and to spend time with other women who know that the years ahead still matter enormously.

You’re very welcome here.
